Ford vehicles are reliable, comfortable, loaded with tech, and designed to keep you safe. These are all great qualities for a vehicle to have when you’re an adventurous individual. The 2021 Ford Expedition is primed and ready for your next solo or family adventure. Let’s take a closer look at what makes the 2021 Expedition prepared for your next outing.

Design and Trim Levels

The commanding presence of the 2021 Expedition alone is enough to fuel your adventurous spirit with its bold and modern styling, aggressive stance, room for people and gear, and imposing size. Though it has a commanding presence, the Expedition is soft around the edges and elegant. You can have the 2021 Expedition in the XL STX, XLT, XLT Max, Limited, Limited Max, King Ranch, King Ranch Max, Platinum, or Platinum Max trim levels. With such an array of choices, there’s an Expedition suited for just about anyone.

Power and Performance

One engine is available for the 2021 Expedition — a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6. In every trim level, except the Platinum and Platinum Max, the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 has 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The Platinum and Platinum Max have the same motor, but Ford has dialed it up to 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque.

A 10-speed automatic transmission seamlessly transfers the Expedition’s power and torque to either the rear wheels or all four when equipped with a four-wheel-drive system. If you’re looking to explore off the beaten path, an Expedition with the available four-wheel-drive system is ready to make that happen. When sporting the right equipment, the 2021 Expedition can tow up to 9,300 pounds. It’s light on its feet with an electric power steering system and available adaptive dampers, providing responsive handling and a smooth ride.

Comfort and Convenience

Inside the 2021 Expedition, headroom and legroom abound you can have seats that are like sitting on clouds — clouds made of available leather, massagers, heaters, and coolers. There’s room for eight passengers with cargo room to spare. Behind the third row, you’ll find 19.3 cubic feet of cargo space. Behind the second row, space increases to 63.6 cubic feet. With the second and third row folded down, 104.6 cubic space is revealed. These numbers increase exponentially in the Expedition Max models to 34.3, 79.6, and 121.5 cubic feet of space.

Available tech features you can expect to see in the Expedition include a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, a dual-headrest rear-seat entertainment system, USB ports, wireless charging, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, to name a few.

Safety Features

The 2021 Expedition comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot 360, which bundles together welcome safety features such as auto high-beam headlamps, forward collision warning with emergency automatic braking and pedestrian detection, a blind spot information system with rear cross-traffic alert, a lane-keeping assist system, and more. You can add optional safety features as well. When planning your next adventure, consider letting the 2021 Expedition be the ride that takes you there. With all the available tech, comfort, convenience, power, and performance features, there’s no doubt that the Expedition is up for the task.
