Every trim for this compact SUV comes equipped with standard 4×4, allowing you to head off the beaten path. The top-tier Badlands trim takes this a step further with advanced 4×4, a feature that includes a twin-clutch rear drive.
This added capability increases the Bronco Sport’s traction. When necessary, the advanced 4×4 system will send power to a single rear wheel. It can do this even when the other three wheels are deep in the mud and have no traction at all. This added capability makes it easier to feel more confident as you head out on the trail.
Selectable Driving Modes
Most Bronco Sports are equipped with five selectable G.O.A.T. modes. You can select the right mode for the terrain you’re facing. Your standard options are Normal, Eco, Sand, Sport, and Slippery.
The Badlands trim adds two more selectable modes to this list. In the Badlands, you’ll also have Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl mode for your off-roading adventures.
Off-Road Tires
You can add available all-terrain off-road tires to the Badlands trim. These tires improve traction in slippery conditions. In the Badlands trim with these tires, you’ll have 8.8 inches of clearance for traveling over rocky terrain. Additionally, this makes the Bronco Sport an excellent water-fording vehicle, with 23.6-inches of capability.
Improved Visibility
You’ll have an easier time seeing your way around rough terrain with the available 180-degree camera with split view. In the Badlands trim, this feature complements the Rock Crawl and Mud/Ruts modes. When you’re in these modes, the 180-degree camera gives you a split view to improve your visibility so you can see the best way to move forward.
Useful Technology
As you head out on big adventures, you’ll love having an infotainment system that supports your explorations. This compact SUV comes standard with a great eight-inch LCD touchscreen. The display is located in the center stack, and is equipped with features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto so you can connect your smartphone.
You can add voice-activated navigation to your Bronco Sport, complete with Traffic Plus and Travel Link to help you make smooth travel choices. Additionally, you can add an available wireless smartphone charging pad. This feature allows you to ditch the cell phone cord, and keep your phone fully charged and ready to use once you reach your destination.
